![]() I kind of felt that when the last line she said was "I don't know" when James asked her what they were going to do now. Those were actually great to me, drinking hot chocolate together and just talking. That time could have been better served having James and the Heroine have awkward human moments like with the picture. I don't see why they needed to add in the terrorist human group thing when there was literally an alien hell bent on destroying everything. They could have used a few more scenes of 'getting to know you'. With that being, said I was absorbed in their romance scene and his is my favourite route. Her being okay with it so quickly felt a lot more like guilt over him literally having no choice but to commit to her because they couldn't have had a conversation. You are either mates or you aren't, so him doing that and then being confused by her not being too thrilled made sense to me. They could have had a chat about human customs then and avoided the whole 'imma mark you now" thing for the epilogue.īut James made it pretty clear throughout that to his people it's all or nothing. Even just "we kiss our lovers and our family members, it just means we care about them" because they both obviously saw it as something way more than that. I also got that him keeping her at a distance was somewhat similar to how he treats his sister - protect them by just doing what you have to do.īut like why didn't she ask Eeyok and James why they felt kisses were so intimate, or tell them at that moment that kisses aren't all that intimate to humans when they see humans kissing in the mall or when they watch the movie. ![]() And honestly the scene where he takes a beating for her had me respecting the shit out of him, especially because she earnt it by being a dickhead and pushing bounderies. I also figured his heart beat was going to play a part in what was going to happen because it is mentioned so much. I felt the romance was there in the way he was always talking about her seducing him I felt that it was obvious that he was blaming her for his feelings. ![]() Part of that is purely because they never really got to know each other. I loved the romantic bits in his route! But yeah, for sure, it happens pretty quickly and thrusts itself into a lifetime commitment. ![]()
